Toy Story Mania

Carli had a few weeks before she started preschool...so we had some fun Mommy and Carli days!  We decided we needed to check out the new ride at CA adventure.  This is a very cool ride.  Lots of fun!  Carli and I had a great day and we made it home in time to pick Jeremiah up from school...shhhh he doesn't know.  I wasn't sure what I was going to say but then Carli never mentioned it so I figured why tell him:)

Summers End

This was our last adventure group outing for the summer.  It was so much fun and YUMMY too!  We went to CPK and the kids got to make their own pizzas.  While we waited for the pizzas to cook the kids had a behind the scenes tour of the restaurant.  The best part was when they brought out pizza and salad for the Moms too.

The Whole Gang

Buddies

Cody, Jeremiah and Ben
I think these boys will always be buddies.  They first started to hang out the summer before they turned one.  And the fun has never stopped!  Even though we have moved and the boys only get together about twice a year they can pick up were they left off.  I am amazed to see how much they have grown.  We had to chase these wild boys everywhere...now they chase each other and one day I am sure they will be chasing girls together:) Their friendship brings laughter and joy to Jeremiah's life I feel blessed that he has such good friends.

Feeding Ducks

This is the duck pond in the cemetery by our home.  I like to take the kids here when I want a peaceful afternoon.  My grandparents are buried here.  I have never been to the grave sites.  I like to visit by feeding the ducks instead.  I have wonderful childhood memories of my Grandma and Grandpa taking me to feed the ducks at Knotts Berry Farm and I love being able to share this with my kids.

Our BIG Adventure

We just arrived home from a week long trip up to visit Grandma and Grandpa Anderson.  The kids don't get to see them often enough so we thought it would be fun to visit them this summer.  I was a little worried about flying alone with 3 kids but it all went very smooth.  I can say we even had fun!  And that was only the beginning! When you have Grandpa around even a walk to the park can become a grand adventure!  We had a great time swimming, playing at the park, visiting the kids museum, hiking, and playing with Dad's old star wars toys (yes they still have them)! I remember my Grandparents home feeling magical when I would visit them and I could see that same excitement in my own children's eyes as they spent time at their Grandparents home.  Thanks for allowing us to turn your world upside down for a week!  We LOVE you and miss you already!

Carli's Path

This is one of those spots at Grandma and Grandpa's house that is magical for little Carli.  She loves walking up and down this path checking out little bugs and flowers on her way.

Splish Slpash Bryce is in the TUB

This was the first time Bryce was in a real tub with out any baby seat.  I didn't think it would be a good idea to pack the baby tub on the airplane HAHA  He really enjoyed his real bath tub experience. (maybe we will nee to try it at home)  We had to keep the bathroom door closed as he wanted to try to climb in the tub over and over.

THE BUMPS

Grandpa had a little too much fun pushing the kids on the swings.  He got them so high the got to the "bumps".  The bumps as Grandpa calls them are when you swing so high you lift off the swing just a little right at the top.

Grandpa and Grandma's Pool

We spent a lot of time in the pool...a perfect way to spend the last few days of summer! Jeremiah learned some new tricks off the diving board from his Uncle Ryan.  Carli was fearless as ever and jumping of the diving board too.  The kids tried to join in a pool bball game with their Uncles and Dad but it was just too rough.  Uncle Todd even had to go to urgent are due to injuries!

Grandma Time

We spent one of the days visiting the Museum for kids.  It was so much fun and easier with Grandma there to hold Bryce.  I think Grandma and Bryce had some good bonding time.

WATER WATER AND WATER

This is a great part of the museum that is all water and how it works.  The kids really had fun!  Jeremiah loved the areas were he could launch the balls with water.

Discovery Museum in San Jose

To be able to see the world as a child would be wonderful.  The kids were so interested in the way everything works and had a great time climbing on, crawling through, and just exploring everything.

Hike to Castle Rock

This was such a beautiful hike and we had a great time! Thanks Uncle Ryan!

Hollywood

We went to see Wall-E at the El Capitan last week.  It was a great experience for the kids.  We got to see all kinds of people on the street.  Jeremiah loved seeing Spiderman, Jack Sparrow and Sponge Bob.  Carli seemed to love the sights and sounds of the city.  We started the day by following the stars (Carli found Snow White's star) to the Mickey Mouse Soda shop were we had lunch with friends and a wall-e ice cream.  Then we went over to El Capitan were there was a man playing this huge organ on stage and he played all the Mary Poppins songs.  This is Carli's favorite movie right now and I think this was her favorite part of the day.  That and the confetti stars that fell from the ceiling.  She had to take handfuls home with us.  Jeremiah really enjoyed the live stage show...I think he liked that more than the movie.  We have got to get him to more plays he is a Theater Junkie already.  He went with my friend Sarah to see Sussical and when he got home he was as excited as if he had been to Disneyland.  It was kinda of crazy but lots of FUN!

Happy 4th of July

We enjoyed the fireworks at the Del Mar Fair a place I have been watching fireworks for as long as I can remember.

Beach Daze July 4th

July 4th Weekend and the Hemphills

It is always so good to see old friends!  We went down to SD for the July 4th weekend. Trisha, Jason and their kids were in SD too for the week.  They invited us down for a great bonfire and we had so much fun.  It is funny to watch our kids play.  I can remember spending many days on the beach with Trisha when we were younger and now to see our kids enjoy it together is so much fun!
The first pic is of my Mom and Trisha I was facing the sun so it didn't come out so good but they still look cute:)
The next is of Trisha and I and a very tired Bryce.
Then there is the soaked Carli photo.  The kids thought it would be a good idea to go swimming in their clothes...carli got taken down by a wave... she was soaked...she tried to warm up by the fire and my Mom tired to dry Carli's clothes over the fire but her pants almost went up in flames LOL
The final pic is of Jeremiah and Taylor.  Taylor has an arm on her and Jeremiah had a good time throwing the football around with her.  I had a great time with Taylor in the water she is a great little boogie boarder!
