Safety First

So, Grandma Anderson saw the post of Bryce on a skateboard with no helmet and guess what we got in the mail today...

I love how he is going cross eyed in one the photos trying to see his "hat" as he signs it.  You can also see him signing "more" in one of the photos.  He LOVES hats so when I tried to take it off he kept signing "more".  He is a funny boy.  Thanks for keeping him safe Grandma!

5) Mold from drips I didn't know about
6) Ladders as furniture
7) Clutter on the dinning table from home repair "projects"
8) That they don't teach home repair 101 in college
9)  Insurance policies that don't cover "certain leaks"
10) Mess, dust, smell and chaos of home "repairs"

Sick Baby

We have been dropping like flies this week with the stomach flu and a really nasty cold... all of us but Bryce.  Until Sat. it finally caught up to him too... he has been very sad all weekend.  As you can see Daddy tries to comfort little Bryce but he only wants me all day and all night, ugh I hate sickness!

Jeremiah's 1st Basketball Game

Jeremiah played in his 1st real Bball game this Sat!!!  It was so much fun to watch him.  We have had him in other sorts but he never really plays hard at the games or gets into it.  Basketball was different!  I guess it runs deep in that Anderson blood... he played hard and had a great game!

On a side note...
My action shots are blurry anyone with a cannon rebel that has any pointers on this would be great :)

Snow Daze

Matt and Jeremiah had the day off Monday so we went sledding in Big Bear.  Jeremiah and Matt raced a few hills together!  They had a blast.  I even took Bryce down some... he had a great time too.  I wish Matt had more Mondays off!!!

Carli didn't really enjoy sledding after a few runs she was ready to go home.  The next day at school was snow day... she LOVED it.  I think she enjoys throwing snowballs more then sledding at this point.

They filled the playground with snow and the kids got to run around and have a great time!

Very Important Forgotten Post

I was looking at Anne Marie's blog and Jeremiah noticed that she had posted about the kids recital (of course).  He then asked why I didn't post his recital... How can I explain that there where so many xmas post that somehow I forget.  He did a great job and played all 3 songs perfectly!  After playing Rudolph and Hrak the Harold... his teacher signaled him to bow but Jeremiah was not done he wanted to finish with the First Noel.  He fills our home with wonderful music everyday and I am so thankful for him and is talents!
So, here it is Jeremiah... YOUR PIANO RECITAL!
It was wonderful and I am so proud of you!!!! You work hard praciting everyday and I never have heard you complain... I hope you will always have a LOVE for music. You have become such an amazing piano player.  Can't wait for your recital in JUNE.  Sorry about the late post.  I LOVE YOU- MOM

Indian Warrior

I let Bryce finger paint for the first time this week.  As you can see he had a great time painting his face!

FIreplace Facelift

When we moved into our house the previous owners had paint the brick around the fireplace white.  I never liked it but wasn't sure how to fix it. Until, one day I was at my friend Christine's home and saw her beautifully painted fireplace.  She came over and painted mine on Thursday.  She did such an amazing job!!!!  Thanks Christine you are so talented!

My little SK8R BOY

Did you see the skating dog in the Rose Parade?  I guess Matt figured if a dog can skate then why not my one year old???  Bryce LOVES it!  He has made a "home-sign" for skateboard and it is the only toy he ever wants.  When we get the board out of the garage he SQEALS for JOY and when it is time to say bye-bye to the board there is also lots of screaming.

Carli's 1st Gymnastics show

Carli LOVES GYMNASTICS and when she did her show it is easy to see why...

She gets to climb on high beams and giggle with her teacher.

She can flip around and around until her world is upside down.

And best of all she got her first gold medal... which she couldn't take her eyes off of long enough for me to get a photo LOL

We are so proud of you little Carli!

Finished Fence

Matt asked me t include a pic of HIS finished project.  So, here it is the WHOLE GANG that helped Matt build a fence.

Who is that Mommy?

When did I go from a carefree girl to Mommy?  I was looking at my post with pics of Matt and I when we were dating and I noticed that somehow I lost the days of snowboarding, playing, and roaming a college campus.  I look in the mirror and I see a Mommy with saggy boobs.  I spend most of my day bent over picking up little people and their belongings and messes... I am an expert of poop, pee, and childhood illness.  I plan tirelessly to make healthy-low budget meals... only to see them thrown in the trash most nights.  I no longer debate the philosophies of child development in class or study my scriptures in institute.  Now I try to read a verse of scripture to kids bouncing off the walls and debate with HMOs over what is best for my children.  But, at the end of the day when the tummies are full,  scriptures read, prayers said and children tucked into bed... I know it is all worth it  Mom is the best person to be and I am happy to be Mommy!

Blog Wishing

Awhile age I was tagged... and I had to list some wishes.  One of the wishes I listed was a new fence for our yard.  It seems there is a blog fairy and wishes do come true.  Upon returning home from our trip we found our fence was gone.  My Mom and Stan had taken it down in hopes to surprise us  with a new fence when we returned.  The weather didn't agree, so Matt learned how to build a fence... along with Stan a friend and the KIDS:)  Thanks for making my wish come true Mom!

8 crazy nights

Ok, so I think that is a title to a movie about Hanuka.  I am referring to Christmas in this post... but it works.  We spent 8 days up in Nor Cal over the break.  It was so nice to get away and spend time with family.  We had an amazing, CRAZY-FUN trip.  Here are 8 highlights...

Christmas Sunday

Getting everyone ready for church in their Christmas best wasn't easy and Carli's face tells all:)  It was a nice day in the end.  We had a chance to hear G. Anderson and Uncle Ryan read some of Grandma's Christmas poems as part of the beautiful program at church.  It was a good way to start Christmas off right. As always Dad made the day extra special with gifts for everyone.  Carli and had pretty pins to wear and the boys had holiday ties.

Horse and Carriage Ride

We took an enchanting ride through downtown Los Gatos.  The little cottage homes had lights galore and even though it was freezing we had a great time.  Carli even got to feed the horses.

HATS HATS HATS

Why does Bryce love to visit G and G Anderson???  All the hats of course.  He is obsessed with hats and they have 2 hat racks full of hats... heaven for little Bryce.

Pirates love Christmas too...

Jeremiah went off on a treasure hunt when he found a treasure map under the magic tree.  It was a little scary fighting off the boa trees LOL but he was able to retrieve the lost treasure.

Magic Tree

Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's home always has a magical feel to it.  The even have their own magic tree.  The kids found little gifts under the tree each morning.

Traditions and Christmas Eve

Christmas eve is full of traditions in our home (or in this case our parents home).  We open the xmas eve PJs, put out cookies and carrots for Santa, read and act out the birth of Christ, read Twas the Night before Christmas... and of course eat mexican food and share during Circle Time.

Too Cool for Christmas

Christmas day we enjoyed hanging out with family (in PJs most the day), eating tea rings, and of course opening of presents.

Carmel

One of my favorite days was our hike and visit to Carmel.  It is so breath taking!  It was a beautiful day we could not have asked for more perfect weather.
