August has been a busy month. We tried to play as much as we could before the kids had to go back to school. We also had to find time to get ready to go back to school. I noticed I had not posted anything for the month of August so here is a quick recap. We will start with today and go back to where the month started....
Today the kids started school! Here is Brayden and Jeremiah at the Ice Cream store after school. It is a bummer they are not in the same class this year.
We have a tradition to get ice cream after school on the first day. All the Kindergarten kids meet us at 31 Flavors for a cool treat. Don't these girls look so grown up?
We had a surprise visit from Daddy!!!
Carli in her new classroom. She didn't seem too nervous when we dropped her off. She gave me a worried face at first then this big smile. Before I left the class I heard her introducing herself to the boy next to her. She has another Carly in her class. She told me. "I made a new friend with Calry B today... I am Calri A and she is Calry B. We don't look the same but we both got on pink today. I like her because she helped me open my juice box today."
I have 2 in school now. I feel like an old Mom...
Carli carried her own backpack for the entire walk to school.
Bryce missed Jeremiah a lot today. He walked around saying "JA JA"...
Here is the big 3rd Grader!!! He was up very early and ready to go about an hour before school started. I think he was a little excited to get back. He was very disappointed to find out 3rd graders get one less recess.
Star Plate! It is a tradition in our house to eat on the star plate for any special day or achievement. Lat night Calri ate on it and Jeremiah ate on it tonight. We had special dinners that they each got to pick out.
Back to our play time in August!
I went with my girlfriend Sarah to see Ell Woods, AHHH!!!! SO much FUN!!!! Until I was locked out of my house at 2:30am and could not wake Matt up! Sarah and I threw rocks and balls at the window and Matt slept right threw all of it. Finally, I gave up and slept 3 hours at Sarah's before returning home to get everyone ready for church.
Last week of SUMMER!
We went to a water park in Corona with the Lauritzen Family!
We made S'mores minus the bonfire:)
Ate plenty of summer fruit at the beach!
Hung out with the boys at the beach! We spent our last beach day with the Byers (a family from Irvine we don't see enough of) and the Cannells and the Lauritzens!!! It was a great day with friends... I never wanted it to end.
Carli finished her swim class! She is an amazing swimmer... my little fish!
Went to Pump It Up jump house and got crazy!
Had a Slurpee for the first time... and in the end my kids said they really didn't like it.
Went miniature golfing with Nammy.
Had a play date and made cupcakes with the Kinder girls!
Went Rock N Bowling!
We had a wonderful summer. I already miss my kids. I was sick to my stomach after I dropped Calri off this morning. I got over it when I realized I could go to the gym and workout in the mornings. I had a good morning workout with friends and Bryce played in the gym nursery. Then we ran through the grocery store in about 20 minutes (cuz I only had one kid)... so there are some good things too. All the paperwork I got home tonight is not one of the good things:)
