Night Owls

Last week was our Annual trip to NB. It is a special time of year when the entire Anderson family gathers at the Beach House to hang out for a week. It is something that we look forward to all year. I took way too many photos this year... I am feeling a little overwhelmed to think of blogging the enitre trip. So, I will just post our trip a day at a time.

Day One
This year started off very different! We sat in a lot of traffic!!! I guess that doesn't sound unusal for So Cal but this was more than I have every seen at the beach!!! When we arrived at the Beach House there were people everywhere! It was like Disneyland in the summer! What could all these people be doing??? BIG WAVES! Yes, we were at the beach during the time the Wedge had the biggest waves in 2 decades! So, we had to see for ourselves. As you can see in the pictures below it was late by the time we got down to the beach. We didn't see any waves that were HUGE!? But, the next morning we did see evidence of HUGE waves the sand was wet clear to the boardwalk! Crazy stuff! And all this wave watching made us push back our grocery run. So, it was almost midnight when we got to the store... and over the loud speaker we were told 15 min. to close... 10 min to close... 5 min to get your stuff up here! YIKES! Talk about a busy way to start a "relaxing trip"........

Uncle Ry and Carli surf the Big sand when there was lack of BIG waves!

Carli and Jeremiah so excited to be up past 8pm!

It makes me sad to think it's all over. This one went faster for me than any other year, ever.

We saw on the news that someone had died trying to body surf at the Wedge. Scary! (Of course it was night, they were all told not to go in the water and he was pushed into the rocks).
