Hollywood

We went to see Wall-E at the El Capitan last week.  It was a great experience for the kids.  We got to see all kinds of people on the street.  Jeremiah loved seeing Spiderman, Jack Sparrow and Sponge Bob.  Carli seemed to love the sights and sounds of the city.  We started the day by following the stars (Carli found Snow White's star) to the Mickey Mouse Soda shop were we had lunch with friends and a wall-e ice cream.  Then we went over to El Capitan were there was a man playing this huge organ on stage and he played all the Mary Poppins songs.  This is Carli's favorite movie right now and I think this was her favorite part of the day.  That and the confetti stars that fell from the ceiling.  She had to take handfuls home with us.  Jeremiah really enjoyed the live stage show...I think he liked that more than the movie.  We have got to get him to more plays he is a Theater Junkie already.  He went with my friend Sarah to see Sussical and when he got home he was as excited as if he had been to Disneyland.  It was kinda of crazy but lots of FUN!

What a fun day for the kids! I'm so glad they got to have such a unique experience...I went on similar outings in Hollywood as a child that I still remember. I saw Mary Poppins at Grauman's Chinese and used to watch the Christmas parade every year from my dad's window on Hollywood Boulevard.

Boy, do I wish I could have been there! Tell your mom I hope she knows how lucky she is to be in on all this neat stuff you do!! (I'm sure she already knows that...)

You and your mom are so much fun. I'm sure they'll remember that adventure when they're older. Did you like Wall-E?
