Spinning Circles

Do you remember being young and spinning around and around until you couldn't walk straight anymore?  This was one of my favorite things to do...I loved to spin until I would fall over.  But, after awhile I would start to wonder why I was doing this to myself I mean I couldn't even get up I was so dizzy.  Now I have done it again.  I am dizzy with my fall schedule.  I feel like I live in the car and I cannot seem to keep my schedule clear for even one day to get caught up on laundry.  I am hoping things will calm down soon.  I know we will adjust to the new schedules soon but I cannot help but long for the summer days when there was no homework...

I know how you feel. I've been feeling the same way lately. Hopefully, things will settle down for both of us.

Lol, this reminds me of that poem of mine...which I will lift off my website right now and paste here as a dedication to your folly! heehee

The Spinning Machine
©1991 by Susan Noyes Anderson

Have you ever gone spinning round and round
till the ceiling looks just like the ground
and the ground looks kinda like the walls
and you’re caught in a whirlwind where everything falls
up and down, topsy turvy, like some crazy ride
so you’re feeling all funny and tickly inside
and you want it to end, but in some way you don’t
then your mom says that you’d better stop, but you won’t?

Well that’s just what happens to me all the time.
I’m a spinning machine and I’m right in my prime.
If you never spin, try it. You’ll like how it feels.
Just make sure you don’t do it too soon after meals.

(Or if you are a young mother of three children...or a young advertising executive who is crazily overextended!)

Seriously though, things will calm down for both of you. You're just learning new juggling acts, that's all. Love you both!

I am right there with you! I hate it! We have something every night of the week except Friday and things on Saturday too! UGH!

OH and my girls call getting dizzy, "rounding". I am rounding all day long! Every week I say to myself that I just need to get through that week and it will slow down. But the next week is busier than the next. I hope it gets better for you too!

I am right there with you. I think it is starting to settle down though. I am figuring out what to not get so worked up about and learning to relax a little. I know kids need structure and I know we're both trying our best.
